Message-ID: <43FFFE33.2020506@cse.unsw.edu.au> Hi all! Wow it's been ... like ... silent on the list ... Anyways how have people been? Alex, how are your Lurkers? Shahram, how are the Tarantulas in Rome going? Masayuki, any news from your Redback? Tim, how is your Tarantula reworking going? Mike how has the Pittsburgh Redback progressed? Who else has been robotising Tarantulas? We've put another one together and fitted it out with sensors and done our first set of eyes-off stepfield traversals with it! Details to come but if anyone wants to have a sneak peek, head on over to http://raybot.cse.unsw.edu.au/new_redback/ ! It's got an OQO running Linux on the back (fits VERRRYYY nicely), laser rangefinder and omnidirectional camera, we're still figuring out what other sensors we'll be putting on it. I look forward to hearing about what's been happening with all you people! :-) - Raymond -- /~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\ | ___ ___ | CSE/NICTA Ph.D. Student | | /__/ /__ | K17-301-8, School of Computer | | / \aymond ___/heh | Science and Engineering, | | | The University of New South Wales, | | rsheh@cse.unsw.edu.au | Sydney, 2052, AUSTRALIA | | | http://rsheh.web.cse.unsw.edu.au | |~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| | Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. | | I think I've forgotten this before. | \~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~/
